For me, that truth has been shaped by a life lived in many homes across the country. From coast to coast, I’ve learned that style is more than just what’s trending—it's about what makes you feel at home. My background as a retail executive sharpened my eye for balance and detail, while my passion for interior design allowed me to dream beyond the shelves and into entire spaces. That mix of merchandising muscle and creative soul is what defines The York & Co.

Now based in charming Parkville, Missouri, I’ve had the joy of working with homeowners in beloved neighborhoods throughout the Kansas City metro, helping turn houses into homes that reflect who they are. Whether it’s a cozy family room redo, a holiday home transformation (yes—I consider myself a top-tier Christmas decorator and my husband and children agree!), or ground-up new construction, I’m here to bring your vision to life with clarity, creativity, and a touch of bold.

    For the past 12 years, I’ve been proud to call Kansas City home. Over that time, I’ve built not just a life here, but a career rooted in hands-on work, learning, and helping others. I began my journey in the trades with full-home electronic installs and pre-wiring, and over the last decade, I’ve expanded my skills to include framing, drywall, plumbing, and electrical work. As a self-employed contractor, I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of building and fixing — and more importantly, the opportunity to serve people through it.

    Recently, I earned my real estate license as a way to expand the ways I help people — this time, by finding homes that fit their lives and dreams. Whether I’m on the job site or showing a house, I bring the same values: integrity, hard work, and a desire to make a real difference.

    I’m also a proud husband to my wife, Nicole, and a father to three amazing kids. Everything I do — professionally and personally — is about building a strong foundation for my family and helping others do the same.

    I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Sean Kerns — I grew up in Platte City and have lived in Kansas City my entire life. After high school, I proudly served as a U.S. Navy Seabee during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

    Following my military service, I returned home and built a career spanning more than 30 years in residential contracting, remodeling, and homebuilding. That experience gave me a deep understanding of homes inside and out, as well as the importance of trust and reliability in helping people achieve their goals.

    Now, I’m excited to bring that expertise into real estate as a licensed agent. Whether it’s buying a first home or finding a forever home, my mission is to help people every step of the way with honesty, dedication, and hard work.

    When I’m not working, you can usually find me fishing, target shooting, or spending time with my loyal German Shepherd.

    Hey there, my name is Sara Vineyard, and I am the Marketing Manager behind the York & Co. operation. I'm a born and raised Kansas Citian, and I have been working in Marketing for the past eight years. I have loved the path I've created for myself. I look forward to bringing my creative brain to the table for this team and seeing it blossom

    In my free time, I'm a sucker for a good happy hour, live music, and/or reading a book with a crisp Diet. Dr. Pepper in hand, or popping into a workout class with my friends!

    Hi! I am Mikah Bahner, a licensed Salesperson and Transaction Coordinator in Missouri. I have been working in this industry for approximately three years; it's a career I truly love. As a detail-oriented Transaction Coordinator specializing in real estate. With strong organizational skills and a passion for keeping deals on track, I help agents and clients navigate the closing process smoothly. From contract to close, I manage deadlines, paperwork, and communication so nothing falls through the cracks. My goal is to take the stress off agents and ensure every transaction runs seamlessly.
